Privacy in the Android app
This explains information specific to the Android app. The general privacy notice also applies to your account, conversations, translations and rights.

Adding a photo from your phone
A photo chosen from your keyboard, or a file you allow the app to read, first reaches the message box on your device. Embedded information such as photo location and device details is removed before sending. You see a preview; nothing is uploaded to your conversation until you press Send. Other clipboard content is not read.
Information on your device and permissions
Your sign-in, preferences and notification choice stay in this app’s own area. The app excludes them from Android cloud backups and transfer to another device. Your browser sign-in stays separate. The camera and microphone open only when you use the relevant feature and allow access. You can revoke permissions in phone settings.
Optional message notifications
If you choose to turn on notifications, Google’s Firebase Cloud Messaging processes installation and notification identifiers, app information and technical delivery information to identify this installation and reach it. Talkaverse links the notification address to your account session. Only a fixed new-message signal is sent to Google; no sender name, conversation, message text, translation or file is sent. The notification wording is chosen on your phone. Google may process this information outside your country.
Turning off and retention
You can turn notifications off in the app’s Notifications section. After sign-out, notifications for that account are not shown in this app. These actions do not mean all technical records held by Google are erased immediately. Google states that it retains the installation identifier until it receives a deletion request, and removal from live and backup systems after that request may take up to 180 days. The app does not start advertising, usage analytics or crash tracking services.
Limits and contact
Notifications depend on Google Play services, connectivity, phone permissions and power saving; they may arrive late or not arrive. Open the app to check your messages.
